full on track cars can take a lot more liberties with shit than a street car. bell bottom kits and crazy wheel fitment look cool sliding on a track, but when i want to drive to taco bus, im going to ruin all of that shit. so it just doesnt work for me. function over fashion.

Thats ok, I *might* get some software to see whats suggested, and then possibly build a couple sets to dyno back to back, building an equal length longtube isnt going to go very well, building a 4-2-1 would be a LOT easier, except that *typically* they are used to get more bottom end tq vs. top end power, quite the opposite of what I actually need the headers to be tuned for

Actually no he does not.
But no Brian, the tri-y design, "typically" is to get the low end torque response like a longtube without being as long, to fit into the chassis easier. I'm hoping with larger primaries, possibly, or length difference between the primary and secondary the tri-y might be able to be "tuned" for a more rpm biased result.

Got primary #8 done, thought I had primary 6 done, but realized i'm gonna have to re-do the last 8" or so to rotate the collector a bit, got primary #4 started.
Goodness building headers is tedious, and trying to tack things together without putting a glove on the hand near where you are about to tack with a mig WILL get you burned, at least in one spot a little bit, inevitably.
