KA-T.org - The Home of 1000+ whp/7 sec Turbo KA's.
All of your questions will be answered accordingly. My ka-t has a freshly rebuilt head w/ all new oem shit. Bottom end is je pistons powered by eagle rods. The only thing stopping me from pushing me 400hp is that there is a new H/G that's oem w/ new oem main bolts and studs. This is my dd, I don't want to push it to it's limits until I know it's done decently.

It really depends on how many miles there is on the block. Obviously you don't want to slap on a boost modification on a block that's high milage. Yea, it can be done, but how long it'll last is the question. Some people get the luck of the drawl, like mewantkouki.

okay so what i will probally do is get this car, ride the way it is until i get enough money for maybe a pte 5857 or a gt35 and boost with decent power since its getting rebuilt with all oem stuff get a good tune and build a simple engine on the side with aftermarket pistons and rods with a good head gasket and some headstuds then do work.

That would be the smart way to go about it Brian. Build a mule...tune it right. Build a beast on the side and then once your mule goes (if it does) make the swap...that was my plan with the SC'd s13. KA-t.org is a great source of info too...check it out.

Say he gets a jesus KA like kevin, and he overboost, and the 25 goes. Now he might have turbo poop all in his intercooler and motor for "fun"...Much less hes out a 25 as well.

therefore if something does happen, he didnt fk up his good motor....

only if new motor is stock bore/comp. of course.
