I'm pretty sure all SCCA/NASA/XDC/FD etc etc rules prohibit a go-around the dash cage.
An SCCA/NASA legal cage would require extensive door bars and so do most Drift groupes so you can kiss your door panels good buy as well. Why do you want a full race legal cage in a street car? You could weld the doors shut too and go for the full General Lee while your at it.

sadly, if the rules prohibit around dash, then worst comes to worse, when i'm ready, i'll start cutting into my car... i know the door bar set ups in SCCA legal cars quite well, and i know my door panels would be put in storage... but if i'm building the car for that, then it's okay, hell at the shop today, we were talking about putting lexan in...
i'm getting to a crossroads, i want to drive, but i have a car i don't want to hack up, but it PERFECTLY matched to all the driving i want to do with it... so i'm at a weird point...
fuck the general lee bullshit.
woops i missed the around the dash part. Marshall, we have already talked about the around the dash thing, and I told you the same thing I'll tell you now, I wont build an around the dash because they aren't safe.
It depends what classes you want to run as to weather you need full on door bars with a gutted door shell or not. and you might want to see if your car qualifies for anything other than NSRA or SVRA events. it is an older car, and a lot of time they fall out of any current classes and leave you doing vintage racing.

if that's what you want to do Marshall, sell your nice R32, and buy a beat up one, and turn it into a full on track whore and call it a day. you have a nice car, there is no need to sacrifice it, and make it a track car.

Seriously though, today began w/a car wash and then traded the white s14 for an s13 singlecam hatch that runs+drives +cash, lots of it
. Already have buyer lined up for hatch. Looking at a couple more s13's+s14's. Played with my kids, change a few diapers typical day filled with win, lol.poorboybrian, how much do you typically do fd legal cages for in hatches?
