Datsun Dreaming
You fail and keep making excuses, not to mention now you want to drag a ford motor into the arguement in an attempt to save face ?
First it was HP/Liter
Then that gets stomped, you want to cry truck vs car engine
Then back to displacement
APPLES TO APPLES,
GT1 VK56 5.6L 490 HP
GT2 Corvette 5.5L 485 HP
If OHC is so much in TECHNOLOGY, then why's your precious setup only got a 5 HP difference running .1L more displacement and the same size restrictor ?
You wanted to compare truck motor to truck motor when you got beat, so I list a truck motor thats PUSHROD with LESS displacement making the same power, and you still fail to admit defeat
This is like that LS1 VS VH45de thread from months ago where hondaretard wanted to argue head flow, with numbers staring him in the face that he was beat, yet still couldnt admit defeat.

Which motor is making more power with less displacement ?
If you're now attempting to compare the 7.0L GT1 corvette engine, you are back to comparing restrictor class engines, and you're short 140 ft/lbs

Also since you broght it up the ALMS GT2 vette is cheating. They're production based cars and are supposed to have production based motors. The GT2's motor is not a production motor and should not be allowed to race, but since corvette racing is such a huge company they allowed it.
You know what BMW had to do? They had to build a production version of the 4.4L V8 from the ALMS M3 GTR and stuck it in the road version M3 GTS to meet racing regulations. But hey thats another topic of how corvettes suckered everyone else.

Production based, not production engine all together
They used production line parts
Ugh, more excuses, beat on every level and still attempting
Keep telling yourself your OHC is "high technology" and so much better than pushrod engines, meanwhile getting the same fuel mileage and making less power.
Oh look we've got this from this engine, that from another engine, heyyy heres some parts from this production motor...

You just said GT1 GTR made 600hp which it does because its a GT1 car and goes up against other GT1 cars which all make over 600hp. So your facts are way off.
If you compare the LS1 to a VK56 stock for stock the VK comes out on top. Your arguments are one sided. If your going to do that I'm going to compare the Ferrari 4.5L V8 out of the 458 Italia. 560hp from a 4.5l So yeah suck on that. Your arguments suck when they're actually compared correctly. Truck for truck, sports car to sports car.
Aston martin V8 vantage - 400hp out of a 4.2L V8 Audi 4.2 v8 makes 412hp. etc etc thats the same as your LS6.

I've been comparing GT1 cars the entire time, you decided to gloss over that fact for some reason.
And the rules state that the motor has to be a production motor as in it has to be the motor from the car not something they produce for something else, did you not read about what BMW was forced to do? I'm pretty sure I mentioned that part. You pick and choose stupid shit and make an argument and leave out lots of other things to try and prove your point.

So wait, you want to compare the LS1, but dont want to compare the LS6, to the VK56
Cool the aston martin makes 4xx HP
It makes 346 ft lbs, again you lose
You wanted to compare apples to apples
VK56 5.6L LS6 5.7L
320 HP 405 HP
5.6L GT1 GTR
490 HP
5.5L GT2 Corvette
485 HP
Come up with an apples to apples, same displacement OHC setup that actually makes MORE power than a "redneck low technology pushrod v8"
And I dont mean dig up specs on a 98' camaro to compare with some GT1 car
Its GT1 both cars run restrictors. One is a 5.6L motor one is a 7.0L motor they make the same amount of power.

YOU WANTED SAME DISPLACEMENT, APPLES TO APPLES
Keep running around the fact with excuses
You are the one picking and choosing stupid shit, after claiming you wanted to compare apples to apples, you went from same displacement comparison and attempted to dig into lemans cars to save face.
HP, displacement, OHC vs Pushrod, i never strayed from that, you did.
Two engines running the same size restrictor, making the same power ? You dont phuckin say !
I just dont see how that works...

Pull the restrictors out, you want to attempt to compare them then ?
Yeah i'll tell you how that goes, just like the 320 HP vk56 vs the 405HP LS6
Oh since you want me to shoot down the ford motor too
Heres the facts
2011 Mustang V8
412 HP 390 FT lbs
16 MPG / 24 MPG
2011 Camaro V8
426 HP 420 Ft Lbs
16 MPG/24 MPG
+14 HP, +30 ft lbs, same fuel mileage
But hey you can come up with some more honda-boy excuses about HP/Liter
More power wins races
MPG matters to your wallet
Displacement on a sticker just helps you with excuses.
