You can honestly believe that comparing an LS6 corvette motor to the one from a VK56 Titan motor is valid.

Your 560 HP Italia

17.1 MPG Combined

Corvette ZR1

638 HP

17 MPG combined

I just see 80 HP more, with the same fuel mileage.

And more honda-esque HP/Liter excuses.

Or the 320hp VK56 and the 320hp LS1? How does that one work out.

Yeah, cause Infiniti cars are known to use the lowest output stuff nissan has around.

I gave you a MORE than fair comparison on the 5.3 "truck engine"

same power, less displacement, from the redneck pushrod motor

the lemans gtr vs the corvette

again same displacement, same power from a PUSHROD motor

So you want to use a 1997 engine, to compare to a 2004 engine

Like i said,

LS6, 2003, 405 HP, 400 ft lbs

Quit using a weak LSx example against the best VK you can find, apples to apples remember ?

So a blown 6.2L v8 v.s 4.5L NA V8? What about comparing that with the LS7's 2.5L advantage? Doesnt work out too well there. The LS7 then should make over 700hp from factory since it has so much more displacement right? How would the gas milage work then? You also cant argue weight and height either because the 4.5 is one of the smallest v8's made.

Again

HP wins races
MPG affects your wallet

Displacement, well you can make some good excuses with it huh ?

Over 700 HP from the factory, remember its a run of the mill daily driver, but hey $200 says a pulley change and you've got your 700 HP

You infer whatever you want, but I didn't say that head flow doesn't matter to HP. I said that HP is a better indicator of flow in general. Your static flow crutch argument is tired and you don't know enough about dynamics to back it up.

And since when is "swapping it into stuff" some kind of requirement for a good motor?

Looks like even when not static, you OHC setup just got beat by 90 HP and 10 ft lbs, by a "redneck potato"

Ouch ?
Sweet, now we're talking tech!

BTW, VK56DE now makes 420 HP in the new M56. awww....

Where are you getting your unrestricted out put numbers from? As far as I'm aware they're aren't any listed anywhere. And if they are running the same size restrictors then they both make about the same power unrestricted.

And its not the same displacement like I said FIA GT1 its 5.6-vk v.s 7.0-ls, both are restricted. Meaning both make more than that unrestricted and you have no clue which makes more so you cant argue that. All we know is they both make over 600hp unrestricted. But the GTR is faster and has a much smaller motor. The GTR actually has the smallest motor of the field by quite a bit. Everything else in that class is over 6.0L.
