The only issue is the main cirular chunk missing, everything else is a reflection from the flash. Other than that problem the cylinders dont look too bad. A little scored but nothing serious. I'm just worried that its not salvageable now.

Yeah the car was pretty much perfect till it blew up. Its only 200$ for hot-tank & .02 bore. Only problem is they want the pistons/rings so they can match everything correctly, but I dont want to order them until I know the block is still useable.

I went out to take a better look at the motor and what I thought was a missing chunk was actually part of the piston that melted. I couldnt tell until I ran my finger over it and it scrapped right off. So thats cool. Also the slight wear marks are pretty much imperceptable. I'm going to take it to the machine shop to get it checked out but I might be able to get away with just a hone and some new piston/rings.

But yeah I still think it was detonation/worn out piston/boost spike that killed it.

I also need to figure out why cylinder 1 was at 100psi. I'm going to pull the block out later this weekend and tear it down and see what I get.
