I know my opinion means jack shit to most people, but if it were me, I wouldn't want any one to get their hands on a car with so much time and effort put into it.

I think I'd rather bore the block .020 over, replace the pistons/rings with the correct parts. It would cost me around 500$ to do that which is less than the short block itself. The cost of rebuilding the short block would be almost 900$ and its not going to save me any time.

I'm going to call the machine shop tomorrow and see what they say. AFAIK it looks like it can be bored out, but I'm not super sure on that.

Drove it to qsl, still no problems. I am super happy that everything has worked out so far.

I still need an un-modified downpipe, and dip stick.

Bores are probably fine. You're talking about aluminum pistons fighting with iron bores. Do the .2mm overbore OEM rebuild pistons!

Save some parts for me to look at. I won't be able to look at it until next week.

Will do. The top of the number 3 pistion directly above the wrist pin is missing a few mm and there's a chip in the cylinder. I'll go take a picture in a bit.

Other than the chunk of cylinder missing it doenst look too bad.
