just ordered an oil filter block, and the nissport oil sender adapter. this one is made of stainless, not brass(//wrists)

That motor lasted about 9 months at that power level before it popped #4 and #1 ringlands. It was beat on every time it was out, and raced several seriously fast cars. It also did many 5th gear redline runs. IIRC it was 25 lbs on racegas. I have the rest of the parts list if anyone cares. This was in 2003.

The car sat at Secret Services for a while. When they closed, it sat at Enthalpy's house. He sold me the motor for nothing. The head sold to Matt Chin who resold it and it disappeared. It was stock anyways. I had the block rebored to 86.5mm for some Wisecos. The rods and crank were perfect and were reused in my build. I made 427whp on my pumpgas build. Then I sold the shortblock to a guy around here last year who hasn't used it yet.

I still have the #4 piston sitting on my desk at work.

 

Sure. 550whp on stock internals is pretty spectacular. Did it crack ringlands after a retune (more aggressive timing?), or just continuous beating at fairly "normal" tuning?

On a side note, what are your build plans for the next 6-9months? SR? twinscroll?

i kinda respect it and whatever, but making that much power on a stock motor seems totally fucking stupid and pointless to me. but, hey, whatevs.
