Datsun Dreaming
right? Today: battled tar in my s13 some more and laid down a little primer. It's looking a bit better but still has a ways to go.
I understand how everyone FEELS that way, but unless it is your first car or something like that, one day a newer nicer car will come along and you will realize you can get it if you just get rid of the one you have....Age will change this.

I sent my first car to the crusher, shortly after having it painted, and it coming out 2 shades of blue, due to the painter spraying the body without the doors on and some other stuff, then saying he needed more paint, ppg omni didnt cover for shit, got him some global, same color code, sprayed the rest, two different colors.
Got pissed off stripped it and to scrapall it went

I doubt I'll ever sell my car. Its honestly not worth much thanks to the accident, and I dont think I could part with a car that I spent so much time rebuilding. I also doubt I could find many people I'd actually sell it too, because it sure as hell isnt going to any random person. I'm like Tim I understand that my car really isnt worth much to anyone else but me and thats pretty much all that matters. My S14 atleast has way more time invested in it than money. Its also the experience's I have with that car. In just 3 years I've done quite alot with it and to it.
I'll probably do the same thing with my bike, mostly since this is the first one and its going to be more about hand crafting and actual fabrication than any real money spent. I have a hard time of letting go of stuff I've put alot of work into. Its not the money that bothers me because I could care less about how much stuff costs, its the effort and the satisfaction I get when I actually see the end result of my hard work (making stuff.) That dosnt really have a price tag.
Though I dont have a problem with building something with the intention of selling it, but I would have to enter the project knowing that ahead of time.
I think thats what seperates the enthusiasts from the people who are truely passionate.
