The brake pad doesn't need to come all the way down. Braking force is pad area, coefficient of friction, and the mid-pad distance from center (and pressure and some other less important stuff). In fact, if you added 50% more pad area to fill in the inner part, you would get a lot less than 50% brake force back. That's why pads are rectangular the way they are and not rotated 90*. The problem with this setup is that you've got a bunch of heavy, friction area in the middle that you're not using, and could be replaced by a lighter, larger hat. For the drop in the bucket that this kit is, it's easily overlooked.

You just need something out back now to balance out the now-huge front bias.

Z32 setups are not invincible by any means. Where's Patrick L and his tales of easily overheating a Z32 setup with a fairly mild S13SR at Sebring?

Good luck^ I kind of want to attempt that this summer, but still dont feel knowledgeable enough to put together a proper somewhat reliable setup.

Thanks man, its not hard. Between reading on KA-T.org - The Home of 1000+ whp/7 sec Turbo KA's and some talking with mewantkouki, I'm like 75% of the way to knowing what i need for 300hp other than what turbo I actually wanna run.

I hope to have mine done over the next few months, I got my CXracing radiator and intercooler the other day. Ordered my manifold today, should be ordering the oil lines and getting a spare pan welded this week. Then its time to find a turbo that will suit the power band that id like to have.

Garrett GT2871R turbo with GT28R style Compressor Housing W/ ACTUATOR : atpturbo.com is the one epstein uses on his s14. Snagged it from the s14 vs s15 turbo post. Should be good for the HP you're looking for. he knows where to get on in FL cheaper than that too. Id get with him about it
