I have a lot of launch learning to do. Should be fun either way. I don't want to get ahead of myself again though. So we'll just have to see if it even runs by then.

 

Maybe one day I'll be abel to run the Z31 ecu and tune the damned thing.

 

No. Let me give you the jist of it.

Motor blew, I ripped motor out and took to my shop. Had them put 3 new pistons and all new rings and bearings in the motor, got motor back in pieces, misssing a few items, so I had to go junkyard shopping and to autozone to put car back together. Once I got car together it would not start. Finally we got car to start and it has nearly zero compression in a couple cyls. Added oil to cyls and it jumped up to over 100psi. Couple days of running and trying to drive the smoking monster around the block the car stopped running. Couldn't get it to start, diagnosed as teh rings, took back to the shop who says it must be the head. Removed engine and took motor to them, told them to fix the fucking pile of shit. That's where we are right now.

 

There is no final diagnosis yet. I don't want to up and blame them outright for a mistake of my own.

I've always used this shop, they're friends of the family and they've always worked with everyone on here 100%. Including myself. This might be thier mistake, or somehow my own. I wont know for another day or so.

 

Just another update, assuming all goes well. I'll have the motor back Friday. Just intime for payday, and car payment day.

So I guess, not next weekend but the weekend after, I might be up and running again.
