It makes this whining sound I was told that the timing was off a tooth but that doesn't seem right should this be something to worry about the car runs great idles normally and doesn't over heat

 

could be anything. but prolly not off a tooth if its running right. could be low on power steering fluid, timing belt could be hitting the timing cover. could be a timing tensioner, water pump... best bet is to have a new timing belt/water pump/tensioner put on. especially if its due anyways.
