Need help with my 90 hatchback *Tranny issues*
I just got a 1990 honda hatchback, problem is the guy who had it before me ran it through a puddle and he said when he ran through it, it smacked hard underneath. Said he started to drive cars tranny started slipping.... Then it wouldnt take any gears at all. When I push the clutch in, its stiff like a brand new clutch, just on here asking for ideas, what it might be or what needs to be done. When I towed it away thing was leaking tranny fluid like a mother, so more than likely the case is cracked, but besides that what would make it completely stop grabbing gears. Thanks in advance appreciate the help.
if this helps, i had a problem in my 89 hatch when i did a d16 swap i bought a d16 clutch kit and fly wheel but it would not go into gear because your clutch and pressure plate and flywheel have to match the year of the tranny. pull the trans and inspect, maybe even pull the casing off to check the internals
