ethanol is not the answer. this 10% ethanol in gas screws up alot, not only automobiles not made for it but what about mowers, edgers, blowers and all the gas powered things.Gas will never go away but ethanol is no the right move. For all the fields of corn for ethanol there is now less fields to produce wheat, corn, and all our other foods that our produced by corn, why do you think the price of everything we eat has gone up? its not necessarily the price of gas ,its ethanol. And if certain people would get their head out of their ass, this country has so much oil in reserves its not even funny.even if we started drilling the gulf or south dakota or even more of alaska,we wont see it for many years.

do you recall when the world phased out leaded fuels?
also do some looking into cellulose ethanol. You can keep eating your corn.
you my friend are quite ignorant when it comes to ethanol in both engine design and production...also ignorant when it comes to the knowledge and past when it comes to fuel conversions...

1000rwhp with $2 fuel? E85 is pretty cool stuff.
Gst here is a link to the use of e-85 in turbo applications.

Ethanol needs lots of cylinder pressure to become an efficient fuel. I.E. an engine I built on E85 was 11.5:1 CR with 19 psi and no intercooler
The other downside is the crop/field comments, which are pretty much solved by cellulose development. Much like algae to biodiesel.
By all means, bounce your ethanol views off of me as I've done lots of research, design, joint projects (Dartmouth, MIT, GA Tech and ODU/NASA) and been in several SAE/international level lectures on alternative fuels.
as for GST racer....why does every think the word ignorant is abusive or rude, especially when it is used properly?...maybe I was a bit aggressive in my reply to a gross statement packed full of incorrect and unsupported statements...I'll try and tone it back a bit.
