e85 stations
no, lol . ethanol already has really high octain compared to regular pump gas, increasing it wont help anything.
We have e85 around here.. and natural gas

Nice calculations. Kinda beats my arguement. I rather see the money here spent in the states, and comming back to the people rather then spending it and sending it to other countries.
My boss has a Chevy Flexefuel car and he said the gas mileage is bad in his car when he tried it out.
What about using one of those Octaine boosters like at autozone. If you use the E85 to fill up the tank and have one of those octaine boosters would that help increase the MPG ???

I think you mightve just skimmed over what he posted, at best
From what I've read, E85 is a completely different animal to tune for. Yeah its a higher octane (100+), but you also need to run it much richer, have HUGE injectors, and have a completely stainless fuel system. Its still worth it, but unless your car is built for it, dont just try it out randomly

E85=Bad. Hess stations (the one near my house anyway) have gasoline with 10% ethanol. Avoid them. The alcohol is aggressive and prolonged use will damage rubber fuel seals and cause bad leaks in the long run. E85 will create more power in high-compression engines (Koenigsegg CCXR), but in gas-only engines, the compression ratio isn't high enough to use the E85 efficiently and you will experience 10% worse gas mileage.
Also a stock civic motor has higher compression than a ccxr so I dunno wtf you're talking about

I know this is gravediggin before i even post. Plus this is tr which is populated by mostly moron's, but since its been awhile i was wondering if there was any news on when an e85 station was headed this way. I believe the closest stations with e85 is a turnPike plaza in orlando and there might be a loves in polk county?

E85 is available at fleetwing in lakeland and at the turkey lake plaza in orlando .... supposedly there is going to be a station built in st pete when and where is still unknown.... E85 is a wonderful thing if used properly ... some people are just ignorant to E85 and its benifits
