Id rather run on e85 then strait gas. atleast the money that im not saving isnt going to the rich oil companys that continue to make record proffits every year. Id be willing to pay more to know that my money was staying in my own country.

exactly, E85 is expensive right now becuase it's novetly. Higher volume should mean cheaper prices, as mass production goes into effect. On the flip side, it's renewable, where as oil is not. And then we don't have to rely on the middle east to dictate oil prices...we can just tell them to fuck off.

E85 has greater effect than just price and gas mileage.

I was going to add to the thread but this is very true and most of it has since been corrected.

I would like to add that you can almost without a doubt run leaner with it because of its alcoholic cooling capabilities. That and boost.

Fuel hierarchy of importance: octane, availability, BTUs, price

The only problem with e85 stations popping up is that a lot of the petroleum companies are dictating the market, saying how they can sabotage the whole thing. obviously if e85 becomes popular, the american oil companies suffer.

I don't care about them, but if they wanted to, they could possibly go on strike and shut down refineries. its not like they havnt threatened to do it before.

And when that happens, your ass is walking to work. thats why i pointed it out.

you think all the small mom & pop stores in little towns just politely stepped out of the way so that walmart could come in and take over everything?

Don't worry, the money you save on E85 will be going right into foreign pockets for parts soon enough.

To use E85 you WILL need, a stainless fuel tank, teflon coated fuel lines and fuel rails, alcohol resistant fuel injectors, different injector o-rings, and different intake and head gaskets.
