Do you know this by experiance?

!)He cannot just just go out and get a warrent. He has to get it from a judge and show good cause.

2)If he did not get a warrent, and searched without your concent,If he found a Kilo of coke.Thats still illegal search and sezuire. It might not look good cause coke was found. But if 10 cases were involved in this "illegal search" they all get throw out.

im an asshole to cops if they are an asshole to me. if they are polite, ill be polite too. i know my rights, and you should too. they aren't gods(even if they act like it), and ive gotten a few cops badge numbers and reported them for harrassing me during stops too.

they are definately making some sort of impact judging from the % of cop posts on tr. I seriously hope they spend more resources helping those in need then they do profiling for county treasure.

Profiling is illegal.

If I ever get pulled over and a cop asks me to search my car and I have absolutely nothing to do... I'll say no and make them bring everything out, only to find nothing.

Cops do not need a warrant to search a moveable vehicle. He can search w/out your permission w. prob cause.

Alright, rideurbusagrl, you need to go back and actually read the posts in this topic because it has already been established and is common knowledge to those that know thier right that you can refuse to allow an officer to search your vehicle upon request.

The only 2 ways around that are a warrant to search the vehicle or you were placed under arrest after a traffic stop for whatever(been there, done that x3).

I'm pretty confident that if an officer abuses the privledge of determining PC that there are punishments in place for just that reason.

He either has cause and will arrest you if he's confident a search will find something or he arrests you and finds nothing in which case you turb around and sue for unlawful imprisonment and illegal search and siezure.

I'm also pretty sure that if the traffic stop is not performed by the book then any evidence that is obtained as a result of the traffic stop is inadmisable in court.
