It was always you lose your license for a year I had to goto court for that shit and a kid infront of me got his license taken away for a year and a 500 dollar fine and it was his first offense and this happened like in July.

Always? Like I said earlier, I had two in the mid to late 90's, and they were just three point tickets, I paid them by mail. You mean since the newer laws, right?

You have to go to a repair center every thousand miles to
get the duct tape replaced.

You accidentally drive into a junkyard, drive out, and get
accused of stealing.

The Blue Book lists your car under "Health Risks"

You return to your car and find someone broke in and left
a hundred dollars and a new stereo.

You pull over to let a fire truck go by, and it stops
behind you.

I think its all about attitude and whats going on, if ppl gather and street race in even a moderate area with traffic and pedestrians they are going to bust you, only to move you. But when everyones gathered at a popular place nex to busy roads, cops assume your going to race, sometimes they watch or tell you to move or bust you.
In NY we used to get busted all the time in Utica, until we moved to a near abandoned street, asked permission from the company owner for a one night a week meet, everything turned kosher, cops would watch us race, approached the cops asked them what we could do and be nice, but a number of racers are jerks and screw shit up. My .02 cents, the law may be there, but will it be inforced is the "?"

I don't live in Tampa, but I live in lakeland and we used to go out to some empty mine roads out there around Ft. Meade and we never really got bothered, people drove by, seen what we were doing, but never had a problem about it, I agree that the only reason that there jacking the price of street racing fines so they can make more money, I say if people want to race take it to an empty road, so if you do mess up, your not hurting anyone but yourself, or the person thats next to you and knows the risk there taking. -Ben
