You are 100% incorrect on your assumtion.. My mother who wont go 3mph over the speed limit is looking at buying a corvette. I can promise you its not to race. She just likes the car. everything doesnt apply to everyone because you buy the same car.. That would be like me thinking everyone that had a mustang is as ignorant as you in my eyes..

the only threats some people recieve is from the dumb ass ricer kids that think speeding through the emergency lane and racing ANY car that they consider 'sport' is cool. Cutting me off is not cool, especially when theres like 3 cars behind me and I have to slam on my brakes. Too bad the one cop that always chases us away from our chill places can't pull him over, but pulls me over for doing 75 on an empty stretch.

I mean, I'll race, I might lose to the ricer kid and their momma's Camaro, but their the ones that get caught, not me.

If you ask me if a few of them asshole cops would sit there on the road and give tickets to the lil 'speed ricers' then we wouldn't have to worry about them harrasing us and making us move to a new location to talk and check out each others cars every 10 minutes then there would be no need for laws like that.

Its sad how FnF and 2F2F make these kids think their slow ass Geo Metro is a speed racing car and swerving around in traffic is something fun to do. It is, until you wreck and kill some innocent bystander.

I still think that one race that those two BMWs (wutever # they were, had pop up lights) was still a badass race, and those tires were wide:o .

So, that's my opinion that probably don't make sense but I'm in class right now and I really don't feel like typing things that make that much sense but whatever.

 

Actually, last week my friend with a 99 eclipse was caught racing, going 127mph, and he went to court and got out with just a ticket. not mandatory, but you go to court. i thought he was a gonner....

 

the new law with the mandatory license loss has NOT been passed yet.. it will be coming though. and he better hope he doesnt get caught again after the new law.

Amen! I agree street racing is not a good thing to do since you would endanger many people yourself including. However, to tell you the truth a law wont make people stop unless they get pulled over or get in a crash which would either then kill them or make them stop. However we all have our bad stories about cops some are even funny like the one where i got beat up by a SRO in highschool and then got a settlement from the sherrifs department.

A friend of mine in high shcool was pulled over on the interstate going 112 and went straight to jail. He wasn't racing anyone. This was also 9 years ago but I suprised your friend was so lucky.
