it could be an 02 sensor.. my cabrio was doin that and i replaced the 02 sensor as well as cleaned the MAF sensor..

Just a thought

shit..that idle aint bad...my other brothers caamro idles at like 500 rpms but it had a 3/4 cam in that thing...maybe your points are screwed up.
