You are allowed to modify it, you are not allowed to modify it to be louder than original, just as I already said, when I told you that you were wrong the first time.

The real problem in FL, is that there is no realistic "big book of exhaust decibel readings" as I already stated, so its a subjective bullshit ticket when a cop issues one, because you know damn well they didnt do any real testing, its also been well proven that its just the LOOK of a loud exhaust that gets you the ticket 99.9% of the time, and simply painting your exhaust with some high temp flat black paint virtually eliminates any harassment. You could have straight pipe out the back, painted flat black, and not get pulled over likely ever, or put 6 mufflers inline, have it quieter than stock, but make the outlet 4" dia, and chrome plate it, i'll put $ against yours chome, dollar for dollar says the quiet shiny 4" exhaust car gets a ticket first.

 

Just pay for it or fight it, it's a civil infraction and nothing that will effect your record.
