got pulled over yesterday night on 275N coming up the hillsborough merge ramp onto 275 pulling hard through 3rd, when over the hill i go and there lays Mr. State Trooper. Anyway, he gives me one ticket for speeding ( this i take and am guilty for) the next ticket he gives me is for not having my tag registration in the car( this i will fight in court) , Lastly, he gives me a ticket( $73.50) for " illegal aftermarket exhaust" WTF!!! is what i was saying in my mind. 1. can he legally give me a ticket for this? 2. how do i fight this in court 3. who can recommend me a stock exhaust that flows well , but still looks good with that is legal?

word to the wise: do your 3rd gear pulls on dyno or at the track. all in all , im 370 bucks broker and now find myself looking for Ramen noodles at wal-mart instead of aftermarket toys for my car. Someone please give me some advice if youve had this done to you recently!!!! thanks,Roger

Hey Roger, sorry to hear that man. Totally sucks.. Do a search with the title of exhaust ticket. There has been a few good posts with a ton of comments on what is legal, what you can do etc! As soon as you started to get the car looking good, the crappy side comes..

 

 

er,, pick up an rsr exhaust... a bit pricey but nice... or just go to a muffler shop and make your 3 inch piping then slap on like a flowmaster muffler or something idk anything stock looking..

 

yeah cops have problems with people with hooked up cars. fight it

then put the cool exhaust back on.
