Default Where to Rebuild?

I want to boost my KA the right way and although I know the best way is to not boost it @ all, I also know that some steps like freshening the motor are a must.

Currently my 12X,XXX KA has the usual valve seal puffing smoke issue from a stop light. ANd I'm tired of it. I'm sure it could use some additional TLC as well.

With that being said, where would you guys suggest I get a rebuild done? I've mentioned it before but the build wont be for crazy power...in the 250-300hp range or whatever I can get on 10 -12psi and stock 370cc SR injector and a tune. I know this will vary some. Either way, streetable power, not track power.

I'm in Clearwater. I would bring a longblock to a shop to get the work done...just wanting to get pointed in the right direction.

Thanks,
-Royce

UNITED SPEED WORLD CAN HANDLE THE MACHINE WORK IF YOU INSIST ON HAVING YOUR MOTOR REBUILT. I'D LOOK INTO ASSEMBLING IT YOURSELF FIRST THOUGH. THERE ARE SEVERAL FAQ'S AND HOW TO VIDEOS AVAILABLE. IT ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE.

The KA was never designed to be boosted, like the SR and RB series engines and with the regularity that I see drift punks and complete idiots popping the KA and contributing to their shitty reputation I want to make something that the average KA owner could aspire too. I dont want to ham fist together a KA only to have it blow up in a months time. Thats why I asked where I could get a rebuild done. Think insurance.

I have been a member of KA-T.org for while(since '09) and recognize it as a good source of info though there are time it seems dated.

I worry that my KA is not in good shape and would fall victim to broken ring lands (replacing the pistons with forged ones is my plan) or something I may over look.

Why 555cc injectors? IIRC those are RX-7 injectors right?

I thank you very much for the advise on United Speed World. Recognize its not rocket science, but also that there are experts that do this sort of thing regularly and they might be better at the process than I am.

Ka's run stock timing on rom tunes. You don't have to retard anything. Connecting rods are also proven to be the weakest link past 350whp too, unlike melt happy SR20's.

this, i would say Engine Lab (where mine was done), but I have heard several people question the quality that has come out of their facility and I am second guessing them as well since the last time I was in my motor and what I saw. I would def consult with martin if I ever rebuilt.
