OK... U dont ned the colored links.
start by taking valve cover off.
remove timing chain shield.
remove timing chain tensioner.
remove intake cam gear.
remove cylinder 1 (closest to u) spark plug
Put crank on top dead center (carefully) (second mark from left on crank)
make sure piston is at tdc by looking in the hole
set exhaust cam to appropriate position per diagram (minimal chain slack between crank and cam gear)
set intake cam to appropriate position per diagram (minimal chain slack between gears)
tighten back down the gear (dont forget this)
install tensioner
count links between the little circles on gears (20)
set cas and make sure the indicator is pointing to the correct dot
install cas
install timing chain shield
install valvecover
tighten to specs on EVERYTHING
make sure everything is grounded
install spark plug
start car and adjust ELECTRONIC timing thru cas after it has reached normal operating temp
add COOLANT

^thanks dude, but idk why this is going on still... yes, i need coolant, but im broke as shit, so thats a no for now, turbo is holding strong, engine runs like a champ at 14* btdc(im guessing, because its very close to the 15* mark, but the cas is maxed out clockwise) BUT, it idles at 13-1400 with the iacv all the way shut........ and suggestions?

what is ur vaccum at? a healthy/in time motor should be at -20psi. if u are 100% positive that u have no boost leaks and its not at -20, then ur timing is wrong. if u are positive ur timing chain and gears are spot on, then re install the cas. to be positive.... take the valvecover off to see the markings on the cas. i would also suspect coolant temp sensor. ive seen some weird shit happen with bad temp sensor. lmk

u should have left the iacv alone. just saying because once u have everything correct, that should be in the perfect spot. just one less thing to mess with ya know. is it running rich or lean or hard to start?

Add vacuum leak(s) to the above list.

And now he's selling the motor. Notice zero mention of all the problems he's having with it...

Sketchy as hell man.
