id rather just go to the store and buy a compressor.
and when it breaks, get another. and so on.

Good, if you weld lines and use a jdm compressor, where is it that you are just running to the store and buying a compressor ?

When it comes to lines, Amazon hose in Ybor is the best. I got custom AC lines for my SR in my S14 and it cost about 25-30 bucks and they routed it completely away from the turbo housing and other heat sources etc...

Bracket on top of a bracket, i'll pass.

Get new compressor, remove pulley, install "hybrid" pulley, set orig S14 pulley on shelf, if problem arises, install original pulley, compressor still under warranty. No bracket stacked on another bracket.

Some people want their stuff bolted down properly, I mean technically I bet nissan did in fact design the compressor using software, that took into account the torque of each of those bolts, so its probable that you will see shorter compressor life being short two bolts, practically its too small of a difference to really matter.

But hey, I posted how to make it work with all four bolts, stock lines and a new / reman'd compressor if so desired, your the one who wants to knock it, even though its more "proper" than your choice, being the number one preacher around here for doing shit right, you should see the difference.

Are you saying that sohc lines will bolt up to an S14KA compressor? I don't think that's the case.

Also, what is your recommendation to get the clutch/pulley off of a compressor without wrecking it. I tried once. It wasn't pretty or successful.

Also, Codyace doesn't make anything for sohc cars, I don't think.
