how easy is the 2jzgte to work with? compared to a KA24DET

out of the 3 ka's i have ever owned and daily driven, none have had a issue mechanically besides high mileage...

My 200k sohc ka never had an issue, well my filter did keep getting dirty

KA wiring is fkn cake. i hope youre not serious. and y do you hate sr? you could take the money you will be putting into a 2j or rb, vq is outta the question if ka wiring is hard for you, and build a really reliable and fast sr. or just build your KA into KA-T the right way and be baller. if you really want reliablitily, and power do an LSX. 2j is not the way for you, and rb wiring is going to make you re-think your religion if you thought ka is tough. take it to a shop, or do an easy swap.

ok here is the deal ,if you gonna buy everything pre fab you gonna spend an arm and a leg.............check this out
jdm 2jzgte motor set $1800-$2200 make sure comes with third ecu plug (body harness plug) igniter and uncut harness
r154 tranny 1988-1992 supra turbo $400-$800
1jz gte bellhousing $330 from champion toyota in texas
you need to do this upgrades to the tranny
forged first gear trusth washer $70 from marling crawling
reinforced bearing carrier $70 from marling crawling

usdm spec water pump $200
sr20det koyo rad $275
flex a lite dual fans $220
1jzgte or 7mgte clutch kit $400-$800

This is what I can think of right now ,hope it helps. oh and for the timing in the 2jz is easy just stay away fron the vvti 2jz versio 91998 and up

^^^^that is another $3000 and you need a diff 3.14 or lower cause with out this diff you won't have first gear...................

ya good luck w/ that getrag tranny. u should do rb26dett awd w/ double wishbone suspension too

Full-Race would probably sell you an "R14" converted chassis for $12k. Drivetrain not included.
