ebrake mechanism is different, too

 

car has been down for 14-15 months now. house took over for a while but as of this week the car is making large strides finally !

 

Moved the Z to my dad's shop so that I can trim the core support for the intercooler piping, swap the springs, complete the fuel system, and finish up my wiring harness so I can install it back into the car. Hoping to have it up and running by the end of May.

 

The $10 RHD s13 dash someone had the nerve to offer me $5 for.

 

Its TR what do you expect, you could have posted it for free and somebody would have said give me 10 bucks and ill take it

 

Sooooo. I pull into the garage last night and smell coolant. Pop the hood and see coolant coming out of a hole in the radiator hose thats on the water neck. Take it off and find this.




How the fuck did this happen, just being a old pos? There's also what appears to be other small ones forming. Rust is my best guess but I always freak out when shit doesnt work.

 

Aluminum doesn't rust.

Its just corrosion, it happens alot on those parts. My SR one fell off, when I pulled the motor apart.

Yeah I thought it was aluminum but then when This happened I thought maybe I was mistaken. Thanks mike.

 

Sweet so no auto parts stores carry this stupid thermostat housing! Arghhhhhh!
