From what I've read the Nismo thermostat opens at 144 F, 62 C (Stock: 170 F, 76.5 C)

I have a Nismo T-stat that I've yet to install. I figure I'd wait to see how my car runs then figure out if I want to use it or not.

Glad I don't have a temp guage so I don't have to watch that stuff. "In the middle kinda" is good enough for me.

And if you're cruising in that car in winter, the temps get down to about 68*.

But I'm with Tim. I only know my temps from a few datalogging sessions. Factory 3-position temp gauge in the cluster or you're trying too hard. This isn't a race car after all.

The stock temp gauge sucks. By the time it starts moving your already over like 210

That reminds me I figured out that stupid warm idle contraption on the throttle body.

What hose clamps do you guys use? Not for couplers, but coolant lines and shit.

I'm going through all of the intake manifold hoses and shit, replacing it with new stuff and decent clamps. I know the ideal shit from advance break, and I don't know of any others.

Once this motor goes in, I don't ever want to touch it again.

Too much money in mine to rely on the stock gauge, I guess piece of mind.

Yeah, I'd call that more of a race car. My last setup that was similar to yours had a gauge-gasm happening in the dash. Sensor bundle was as big as the engine harness. But in general, the crap cans of Tampa are way over-gauged.
