I would love a t28 but as i stated earlier, I am looking to do this relatively cheap (except the tune) I got a great deal on that turbo so i jumped on it.

And whats wrong with a t3? Just lag? or is there more?

250whp is just a low goal for that turbo. If you said just over 300whp, no one would have thought twice.

^ Everyone says they want low power in the beginning. Then the boost bug bites.

Just a point of info: A similar setup, 3071 50t with .63ar exh setup on a FR manifold, had a hard time keeping boost under 10psi with a 40mm gate.

I'm not dicating that you're going to have boost creep issues. But, if 6psi = 250whp = 99% duty cycle = 12.0AFR, then creeping to 9psi is going to put your AFR's up around 15 and it'll be a race to see which goes first: gasket or pistons.
The point wasnt so much that he definetly could do it with X part only, just that there are wastegates available for even lower boost than stated.

With that manifold which im sure the wastegate location isnt exactly ideal, I wouldnt expect him to be able to do anything new with it

Damn, that sounds like exactly what ive been wanting to do. Hows the power, im guessing awesome due to the T25 torque must be nice.

How reliable/smooth has it been running and how long have you had it on?

Thanks man, just trying to find out exactly what i want to do power wise this summer.
