yo does anyone know how to smoke your taillights and what most people use because i gotta extra set of rear 240 lights and wanna try and smoke them.............

 

smoked vinyl from graphics shop works, has to be translucent obviously. only works on really smooth tail lights or else it looks like crap.

the other is a spray thing. most people says it works best, the more coats = the darker it is. there is a type that peels off but if u have a spare set that shouldnt matter.

I did mine by mixing clear coat and black. Turned out good, but I dont have a third brake light...so it kind of sucks. You can get hobbie shop window tint paint and clear coat over that if you want the shine. its a really small can for like 5 bucks. I can show you pics of mine if you want...

Thats the only picture I have of them as of now. Hopefully in the near future I'll be able to get some good ones at a nice location...

i put some clear film over it..then used an exacto to cut off a certain section..i decided to section around the reverse lights...GoofOff makes the stuff come right off! wont melt the plastic..just the tint paint!
if you wanted..this could be done to brakes...sidemarkers...blinkers..whatever
