both underrated slightly. later 01 and 02 ls1 engines are notorious for coming with factory bonus ls6 parts randomly as well.

ls1 and ls2 are NOT completely interchangable. some of the rotating assembly and head stuff is/isnt swappable, i dont quite understand it i know some you can some you cant, so i've just stayed uneducated and left it as ls1/ls6 and ls2/ls7.

I didn't know that, always thought the ls1 and ls2 were the same other than being a 6.0 instead of a 5.7, and the ls7 being pretty much all new. damn I'm out the loop lol



you really should get your car on a dyno, it should be doing over 400 to the wheels, I wouldn't guess the 240 rear would rob any power over what's in camaros. we do have a very very good local tuner of ls1's. if I remember right, he's getting around 350 with just a cam and a few blot ons like headers and shit., I would guess the blower would put you over 400. unless its hurt somehow, then that's understandable.

if you need it, pm me and I'll look up his number for you, I'm guessing xat wouldn't have the software to tune them yet.

I'll discard my SR for an LS1 any day of the week. I'd much rather have the off idle torque, responsivness, and the power band of a V8. Lets get some price estimates on swap packages so I can get rid of this slow SR motor .

1) shop moving
2) sema
3) other stuff
we havent sat down and laid out swap packages yet.

i will say start saving up. as its going to be more reasonable than you peopel can imagine.

its a bone stock ls1 on 4psi of boost.

it did rape the shit out of bandit today thoug in front of xat, so it might be making more than i thought. im just one those people where id rather be happy than dissapointed, so i try to be realistic. plus the car still has some issues from all the abuse/wreck/ghettorigging done thru out the season.

ive seen 420rwhp on 4.5 psi bone stock ls1, but mine isnt running quite perfect imo, and id rather be pleasantly suprised.

for some reason i was thinking you had a cam and some headers to go along with the open exhaust, and around 6psi..lol. damn was i off.


your prob close on the hp numbers then but i bet it make good tq... watch out, martin was a pretty good street racer back in the day. maybe some racing out front will motivate him to put his tan car back together.

once your car is straightened out, some one chamber flowmasters would make that bitch sound like a prostock car lol.
