Default Brake bushing replacement?

Hi All,

My brake bushing tore up so my brake lights are on all the time. I been removing the fuse for time being. I have the new bushing to put in but the area is so congested that i cant seem to find a good angle to get in to push the bushing in place.

I took out the seat and all to make life easier but still no luck. I lubed the bushing as well. I just cant seem to find a way in there and be able to put enough force on bushing for it go thru the hole like it should?

Any ideas?

Rinku

The 5 highlighted bolts? That's what i am referring to to undo the brake pedal assembly altogether from the firewall and thus have enough slack afterwards to be able to put the bushing in.

There is no easy way to do it but to make it a little easier you can replace the stopper with a bolt and nut. They are easier to get into the cramped space because dont have to push the bushing in you can just hold the bolt in and tighten the nut

Unbolted the switch, found a flat headed bolt and put that thru the hole...put the switch back it against it at specs such that when brake is depressed swithc is free and not touching the bolt hence the brakes are lit. Once you let go, the bolts flat head hits the switch and viola its off.......bolt is about an inch long so it won't come out on its own......i tried putting a nut on it but turns out after fiddling with it for a while, i didn't really need to as the play is only 1/4 inch and bolt is 1 inch long or so.....so it won't come out on its own.......

Thanks for your help......I post the pic of the bolt i used.....
