Yeah i wanted a dsm since i turned 15 now im finally pickin one up, but hey i mean there are always mixed reviews you got the people that say they love them and then the guys that say they will never buy another on in there life.

 

Man forget the haters....Dsm is the way to go...off rip (stock) ur faster than any (stock or swapped stock) honda. b16, b18...Dseries Hseries w/e...only one of those motors have 210 hp stock (b18c-type R). In my auto gst ive beaten built gsr's while i was venting with no afc and on the t25. Theres some people who are like o i got turbo so ima race every car in sight...thats y it may be hard to find an unmolested dsm. but if u invest in it like anything, it will treat u right. just do yourself a favor b4 u buy...check the compression, shaft play on turbo, and how it idles...theres a sticker under the hood that tells you what ur motor should idle @. I think its like 700 + or - 100. Anyone who still has the sticker care to input??

 

bro what built gsr did you beat in that eclipse? there is no way in hell, cuz that camry walked the fuck outta you lol. the 4g63 is a great motor, but with a t25 on it the car is useless. a stock gsr integra is a mid 15 second car, an auto gst is a 17 or 18 second car. if you put that stock gsr in a hatch or a coupe it becomes a low 14 or mid 13s car. i love my mitsubishis but dawg come on lol....an h22 hatch ain't nothing nice either. maybe i should let you drive mine. the thing about hondas is that they don't need a lot of horsepower to be fast. a hatch wit 200-220 hp is a 12 sec car, its not so much about hp with a honda its all about how the car accelerates. not talking shit but you had the slowest of hondas before bashing a car drive a well put together one and you will change ur mind. no it doesnt have as much torque as my truck but to be honest swap for swap my hatch was actually faster than my truck when both motors were stock after both swaps. every motor has to be caressed the right way to make it run hard, thats all it comes down to, honda makes an awesome motor and so does mitsu. actually, building a honda motor is actually more difficult than building a mitsu motor because of how precise its put together. not saying that there is anything wrong with either of the two but thats just what is it.

btw any idle between 700-900 is fine, that sticker is pretty useless tho, make sure you so a compression test on the motor, check the plugs to see how it used to run, replace the front and rear seals while the motor is out, change timing belt, oil pump, and water pump while everything is right there outside of the car.

 

in looking at the pics and specs on the car you will need to replace that turbo manifold because its a piece of shit and its going to crack, the turbo is probably ebay shit too lol it might crack as well. overall tho its good shit, i'd cop it but i'd just take off all that cheap ass ebay shit before it causes you some issues.

 

Thanks for all the info everyone im just waiting for my arp head bolts and new alt to come in then im gunna head up and atempt to put the car together and see how she runs. And how do you know the turbo manifold and turbo are crap?

 

its an xs power manifold, they are very shitty, i'm going to assume (i may be wrong) that if someone is going to use that manifold they'd use the turbo too, both of which are shitty.

 

before putting the motor in i would change the main and rod bearings.
