Rotary 7: Those sound lean to me, even with the power valve installed. I would keep them close to the 60's and up?

Levi: No way would I try 50's all around. WAY TOO lean! I have had all kinds of jets in and never have I gone that lean. The smallest jet size I have used is 54 and that was with the power valve installed, that was way too lean. 54 was the smaller of the jets when I went that lean, it was clearly too lean complete restriction of power, it would feel like it wanted more peddle instead of it going with little pedle pressure.

Iam willing to run that car at the track Fri, but Iam sure he wont be able to make it. I bet I have a front wheel drive car that would beat it, Ha, ha ! ! !

How do you know its lean? What told you it was lean?

Do have a pyrometer?, because that is the only way you could tell its lean or not.

when I had the power valve in, I ran aound 60's.

surges, light down shift back fires, you got to shove the peddle down to feel like your giving enough gas = lean conditions

dark smoke, studdering up high in the rpms = rich conditions

Dont tell me their is only one way to do anything!

just becuase the coolor of your smoke changes doesn't mean anything, weather conditions can make that change.

Gte a Pyrometer for $75 and then you can tune the car correctly and get the most power out of it.

How the fuck can you see your smoke when your getting on it, I had a hard enough time keeping the car on the road, much less watch my smoke .....if there is any at all.then what condition are you running rich or lean? No smoke available?
