I am telling you from experience, on a larger 13B engine with a SP port, it was much faster with 50s in the primary and 61 in the secondaires.

PS: I doubt you was really running lean, it would have popped and backfired really bad., why don' you try turning your timing down some, and see what you get out of it then. That way it doesn't advance as much, unless you disconnected that already, and made the secondaires mechanical, and not vacuum operated?

If the power valve is still in operation you dont need to jet as rich but without it your do . Rotaries run better this way . RB plugs the power valves on the Rotary specific Holley's they sell .

I wouldnt run a vaccum secondary carb on a rotary . Maybe drill some small holes in the primary plates . Not too sure what you wanna do

What do you consider "running lean' I was running 17 on the lean scale, and never had popping or backfires,The ony backfires I would get it letting the RPM coast down from a 8k rev.

Levi, most people who runs Holleys do NOT use the vacume advances, its pulled out and locked down,BUT the distribitor should be welded down cause it wil still advance at higher RMPs.

TaMpAToNy69: You have never stated what is in it now and if you have a PV? If you have the power valve I would run aproximately what Levi is saying, but if you plug the PV you need to go about 8 sizes bigger. Every day that goes by I learn more about what the Holley gives and what the rotary wants! Something I am in the process of learning is, the leaner you run seems to have a better top end and the richer seems to have a better low end. So Iam thinking now, is to get the 50cc accelerator pump with bigger cam and lean out jets a little, so my low end lean stumble I have created with leaning of the jets (65prim - 59secs) should disappear with the bigger squirt of gas down in the low rpm's. My theory being to richen my low end and lean my top end, since the Holley is infomous for their rich top end, because of the small air bleeds. Hopefully I can get it right with out having to fuck with the air bleeds, because the air bleed are not adjustable in the 4160/4150. And can easily screw up a perfectly good carb if you start drilling holes ! ! !

your mainly having those stumble problems from the porting that was done. Porting effects the timing of the engine. You must compensate for this, and adjust per the weather conditions to get 100% potential.

your funny! it is a lean stumble. I never had it with the richer jets. since bigger jets will allow more fuel to be easily drawn through, the low vacuum off idle acceleration lack pull with the leaner jets. but since the Holley is normally rich at high rpms runs alright up high. that is why I think the larger ap will compensate for the momentary lean spot. And Test n Tune . . .
