until you got wot and past 5k dont expect much. the higher compression is nice but at low rpm you prob wont notice much difference. what you will see is that your power will prob continue to climb to redline. break it in get some dyno time.
if you want to hear vtec then gut or drop the cat... it makes a world of difference.

I have put in both water pumps you dont really NEED it but it is sort of insurance for the block temps can get pretty high and the b16 flows more.....I have never heard of any problems just because of the water pump but to be on the safe side you should use the b16a/b/18c5....if your not going to rev high the ls is fine if you are.....

I have stock B16A1 header and cat connected to a 2 1/4 greddy exhaust. I was waiting for a header before running a test pipe. I dont think Ill get the header before heading to the track in April so I was wondering if I should run open header or just header and cat no exhaust. Would this improve my times? Thanks.

watch out running the b16a1 header on an lsvtec. I did the same thing and it was so close to the oil pan it actually cooked the oil a bit and deteriorated my oil pan gasket. get rid of it.

Robster its been a while man. Havent seen you up here at the meets. Were going to the Gaineville track on Frid. April 5th you think you can make it? I saw Scott at the last meeting but forgot to tell him about it. Can you relay the message to Scott Jason and Dale to see if they want to come out?

I think I need a header its hitting vtec but its not pulling as hard as I was hoping for. Im guessing Im around mid 14s. Shitting time for the amount of money and labor put into this thing but I do need tuning.

Should I run open header or with the exhaust? Maybe I should just try both? Thanks all.
