you might be surprised what "only one more mm" could do, lol. no room for error, less meat left on the cylinder, and less surface area for h/g seal

^thanks, as I said, it's only a B20 block and I get them bare for cheap! I already have the pistons so I'm going to run with what I have. If I blow it then i'll be getting a blown ITR block and sleeving it, lol! Trial and error, just imagine if I can get it to work...? Now can some one tell me where to get my block bored and where to get my pistons moly/teflon coated?

sorry wont be much help with the machine shop, i use engine lab also, just got my head back monday and it looked brand new. as for the coating, i think the only local place is procoat performance coatings on crenshaw (813) 882-8091, never used them personally, so not opinions. but if you dont mind shipping the stuff, swaintech is the place to go

I've used the machine shop that is part of United Speed World on Florida. Good results, pricing was better than Engine Lab. 85mm on a b20 block has been done lots of times it doesn't work out too well in the long run. I'd sell the pistons and go with 84 or 84.5mm pistons on those stock sleeves.

they wanted to charge me $200 to take stock rods off of wiseco pistons. so i went down the street to eisles and she charged me $30. engine lab said they had to cut the rods off the pistons. will never go there again.

^yup, I have heard a lot of dumb shit like this, over priced on simple shit and dumb results. I think they take there time with the big jobs, but the little jobs they just dick you around. That's my opinion, but every one get's treated different and have their own opinions
