Anyways will I be able to ask the machine shop if it will work before they do it?
That ballpark price was to coat the journals. A reputable machine shop will be able to tell you if they can polish them out or not. Do not or do not let them turn the crank

No sir, I do not want to have the crank turned! I know that one, lol, that's why I was wandering if any has had their crank micropolished and it took out some very minor scratches

I would recommend Swain Tech or Calico. They've been around forever. Expect to pay $130.00 - $175.00

I also forgot about Tom. I had seen a lot of his work a while back. He did a lot of work for the government, airlines, drag racing teams, etc. His e-mail is tbone327@cox.net . Below is one of his cranks

If the guy still does this he did fantastic work

Why would you moly coat those parts of the crank? I though moly coating was to reduce friction to reduce heat? How does those parts that rea moly coated help?
