This can be done or you can leave it stock until you can afford what you want. I will never half ass my setup's again.

Ive had a few different suspension setups on the various cars ive owned..
On my EK Hatch, i had Tein Flex coilovers.. by far the best suspension ive ever ridden on plain and simple. 16 way adjustable dampening, full height adjustments.. everything. I had them as low as they could possibly go and it still rode awesome, no bounciness or anything at all.

On my GSR, i had omnipower coilovers.. for the money, they are the best you can find. for $630 shipped you get a full coilover system, and you can choose between street or race applications. I had the street setup, and loved every minute of it.

On my jetta, i had stock shocks with neuspeed race springs. Worst setup ever, lets leave it at that.

Now on my mk4 GTi, i have neuspeed shocks and springs, and it rides like stock but with a slight drop. They are good for now i guess, but i wanna get a full coilover setup so i can adjust the dampening.. i dont like soft ass cadillac rides.

not really looked into the ground controls, seen them but was interested in skunk2's or onmi-powers. never had a problem with slip ons cause i have that type on now, just want to get something better, do not want springs cause then i won't have no adjustability. the ones i want is either the skunk2's or onmi-power but as stated was leaning more towards the onmi-powers. for the full omni-power i have seen them for about $649. but was looking at the slip on. so no info on where i can locate some koni yellows at a good deal?

ok did some more looking and compared prices of the setup that consists of the koni yellows (adjustable) and the omni-power slip ons against the omni-power full coilover setup. the prices are just a few dollars off LITERALLY. thats not including tax and i think shipping is free. but if the price is close now even with tax should still be close. so now with the koni i can adjust the stiffness , and i with the full i can adjust the dampness which i think is the same as stiffness but the its all one unit. so what do you guys think it seems like a no brainer but just want to get feedback. thanks. oh, in the comparission the full coilover was the higher price but just by a few dollars like i said.

I'm a fan of the yellows myself. They match up well with slip on coilovers off the shelf from Ground control or you can custom order your springrates for a little more money.

ok, thanks for the feed back. so what do you think of the full coilover setup opposed to stuff you just said (the slip ons "omni-power" ,my opinion, with the koni yellows) price is relatively the same. with the full you can not change out your springs to custom rates or if you need put on drag launch springs? thanks all.
