Default Way to go for suspension

ok, here the deal i have on some cheap (price wise) coilovers "matrix" tokico blues struts in the front and stock in the rear. the car rides well and handles great even moreso seeing i just had a energy suspension master bushing kit installed along with a rear disc conversion. also I DID DO A SEARCH A DID SOME RESEARCH. i am or will be looking into looks like most definately the koni yellow adjustable for struts. now i am sort of split between coilovers, i am thinking skunk2s or omni-power units. i am more leaning to the omni-power coilovers cause lot of people had not so good stuff to say about skunks while only a few had stuff to say about omni-power units. will be looking into the slip on not the full coilover setup. my car will be street driven a lot and see the track occassionally so need the best of both worlds. so can i get feedback on experiences and prices and sites that i can look for these, thanks. sorry for the long write up. oh this will be going on a 91' hatch.

i've had bad experience with slip on coilovers, i've had them on my CRX and my accord. both were very uncomfortable, i hated driving them because i felt every bump in the road. i ended up putting nuespeed race springs on both with koni yellows, and i am very pleased with the results.

these coilovers i got on are good but just want to upgrade to something better (never had no issues with them at all so far). i had neuspeed race srings on a 88 civic four door and it rode good with stock struts, but with springs you have no adjustability. what coilovers wrer you using?

i was using the areospeed coilovers, with stock shocks, which sucked. i like the springs because they allow for more travel and a less bumpy ride. also, when i had coilovers, i never adjusted them, so they were useless. also the koni yellows are adjustable in hieght, the bottom perch has like 5 different settings. my car is lowered 3", 2.5 from the springs and an additional .5" from lowering the perch on the koni yellows, and i still have room to go lower.

I saved up and went with Tein SS on my del sol. I will soon transfer these Tein SS to my hatchback when I upgrade the del sol to Tein RA w/ custom spring rates. Why TEIN? You get what you pay for. The adjustibility is great. You can compromise from a street car to a track car in seconds. I can adjust the height/preload just as easily. I love my setup. Just my 2 cents.

+1 to that, Tein is the shit you definatley get what you pay for.... If you dont go that route I would suggest OmniPower I hear those are pretty good also. Just my .2 also.

yeah like i said i was leaning towards the omni-power setup. how much did the tein ss run you? also more than likely will go with the koni yellow adjustables.

I paid about 850 shipped for my Tein SS. I plan on upgrading to Tein RA's one day but will have to contact TEIN of Japan for custom springrates. It's money, but they're worth every penny IMO.

on a side note, do replace all bushings when upgrading suspension.

do not forget camber kits and get alignment

might as well do tierods and balljoints too

well as i sated i the original post i have a energy suspension master bushing kit nstalled so that takes care of all my bushings evey last one. i have a ingalls camber kit instaled as well and i just recently adjusted it. i know you get what you pay for and i always say spend your money and get your money's worth but $850 is a little bit much for me right now for suspension work. i could use that money in a more convenient way such as getting my car fully tuned. thanks for the input. so koni yellow adjustables should run me how much? still leaning toward the omni-powers. any other info or insight?
