and I'm sure your mustang revs to 10,300RPM and has a compression of 13.5 to 1. While getting 1.9 MPG.

true, but you would be surprised just how much crap can get through those filters....
I find it intereting that our motor will still run with some of the crap gas we put through them without even knowing it...

1st, nearly doesn't count. You don't nearly have enough pistons to fall into my point.

2nd. did you just compare a fucking civic to an indy car?!

That 10% ethanol is actually worse than just straight gas. It doesn't burn properly because none of our engines, let alone fuel maps, are designed for that crap. So we are actually dumping worse shit into the air than when we were burning normal fuel.

ok, before you keep running your mouth with lack of knowledge to decreased NOx gases, run and do a the chemical balance on e10 real quickly. Any of the various forms if you'd like (yes, not all gasoline has the same chemical composition)
Most OEM's are actually designed to operate on it up to 30% ethanol as well. So once again, you are wrong.
The only downside is that you do get worse mileage and thus use more...it still balances out to be better for the environment in the end as the decreased NOx gases and carbons outway the slight increase in used fuel.

the part that isn't outweighed and often overlooked is the farm equipment used to harvest it. The process of creating is has fewer emissions than fuel refining however. Those that operate on bio-diesel however do yield about 50% less carbon emissions and again lower NOx emissions than those that run the red.

E85 is still mixed shit but can be used to make a more efficint engine if done properly. Its the shit I enjoy...e10 is more a political chess game played out by the fuel companies.

as for the comments on flex fuel vehicles, they are shit as they don't run properly on either gasoline or ethanol. They in turn are worse on mileage and the environment.

I've spun one to 20,000 rpm at 11.5:1 with 18 psi and no intercooler however...just a little engineering went into it though
It was on e85

Honda motor.

And why can't I compare my civic's engine to an indy car's? Do you know what the Formula 3000 Honda V8 is? Two of my engines bolted together.
