I'm claiming my old lady's TA
relays in the fans go first, but make sure that your certain the fans arent coming on because thats kind of a rare occurance.. there should be i believe 3 relays in the fuse box.. the fans have two speeds and your either gonna have the speed relay portion out which will cause the fans to either run on high or low speed only, or else one of the fans relays is just out.. i could seriously write a book on things that can go wrong with lt1 fan relays (which is why i hardwired my fans to the ACCY so they were always on...)

primary fans (low speed) come on at 226 degrees and off at 221 degrees and secondary fans (highspeed) come on at 235 degrees and off at 230 degrees.. something i didnt even think about is that the temperature sensor that the fans work off of is located in the bottom of the water pump.. if that sensor is malfunctioning it might cause the fans not to come on at the right time

Word. Good info to have. I'll plug the laptop into it and watch what that sensor is saying. How hard is it to get to that sensor? Please don't tell me it's a remove the opti, remove the water pump kinda deal.
Isnt there a Temp sens that goes to the computer, and a different temp sensor that goes to the dash? Frank u should get someone to retune ur car for the fans to come on earlier, or do what Formula did and Straight wire them

Anybody here that can do a reprogram for me? The fans do kick on, I just verified. The car will idle at about 223 degrees according to the ECT sensor.
Also, the car has a NASTY vacuum leak, which would explain why she said it, "Hesitates." Whatever that 90 degree rubber boot that connects the metal line to the side of the intake manifold is, it's on the driver's side, is fucking GONE. There's a huge hole in it. I'm going to head by the Chevy dealer tomorrow and pick up another one for like $20. Thieves.
