I think the red with black hood looks pretty badass actually, if it is done nicely
well i have a red mustang and i am the one thinking of getting the cf hood, and i agree that it looks pretty mean and badass if it is done correctly, especially if its backed by a nice low rumble from flowmasters.

You need more than Flowmasters to back CF hoods. Back it with a 10 or 11 sec timeslip and maybe you can pull it off...maybe.

So, tell us just exactly what you have so we can see why a CF hood will be such a good thing on your car. What times has it run at the track?

most people that own domestics that I know of (don't know any personally)that have carbon fiber hoods are running no slower than 9's in the 1/4. Don't get the hood 'cause it "looks cool", that makes as much sense as a FWD car running a large rear ing for downforce to keep their tires from spinning.....

i drive an 01 gt mustang, all its getting is x-pipe, flowmasters, pulleys, headers, and the neo r34 body kit. this car is mostly for cruising and smoking riceboys, im not trying to be some 6 mpg hardcore racer, that can lift the front end off the ground. so i am undecided wether or not im going to add the CF hood. and no im not adding it because of the weight difference, i just like the look of them.

I ordered a carbon fiber hood for my car because someone backed into my car and damaged my hood. The stock hood is about $550 + paint, the carbon is $300(VIS on groupbuy). I am hoping that you can't really notice it since i have a black car. BTW I do run 11s

thats the carbon fiber hood that i found for my car that made me start this topic. the vis on groupbuy. how do you like it, is it a nice hood, were there any problems with ordering, and how much was shipping.
