I wish I could go back in time and see muscle cars rolling off the production floor equipped with 396 and 454 bbc. go back and see a time when a car that ran a 14 second pass was considered fast as hell.... oh wait, I don't need to go back in time for that. I just need to talk to the import guys.

i got in about 96...and then we met up @ best buy then shortly after Miami Subs....back then a quick street import would run 11's @ best and would make idiotic domestic owners look dumb (the ones who drive a stock z28 and think its the fastest thing out....imports are in this category too...but thats not what we are talkin about) i remember seeing a crx with a gsr turbo fully built get down and challenge ws6 z28 and the like and either win or give em a run for their money....but i do agree the scene her with imports was not as big as say California where San Diego was killin the street racing scene.

I started with a '76 Mustang Ghia. At least it had a 302 in it.

I'm waiting to see what the car scene is like when my kid hits 16, 8 years from now.

LMFAO, on one of the sold GNX's in that link, they mention the car is soo original it still has fingerprint marks from the workers in 87.
