Auto Dealer Bail out!? GO GREEN OR ELSE!!
slowly, you guys are starting to figure out how fucked we are.
Bail them out, and we revisit this soon, and we pay for it with our tax dollars
Ignore the bail out cries, we add a digit to the unemployment rate
Oh, and if you thought this was going to be the end of it, you're wrong. The airline and credit industries are next, and they will be much more expensive than this bail out and equally as imperative.

We are most likely going to have to bail them out if they cannot come up with a feasible economic solution, and we're all going to pay for it big time. If GM cannot get their act together, they deserve to fall, but we can't let them. Do you see the dilemma. Lose/lose.
We are in for a recession folks whether you like it or note, unless Obama can pull out some amazing economic plan during his term, which is highly unlikely. It's only going to get worse as the once "3rd world countries" are now becoming fully industrialized and becoming a major competiton for the market and jobs, as they are unrestricted by the rules and regulations we are constrained to. We might start buying their products and services, which would be much cheaper and furthur worsen the US, by becoming dependant not just on oil, but on the products and services that us consumers take for ganted.
The large US based coroporations MUST get up to speed the standards and economic preferance of todays age if they are to survive or we will be pretty much "bought over" by other countries.
The pieces are set.... let the games begin.
You know the kind of odd part here ... either way the money for all this doesn't really exist and probably never will.
I rented for work a Chevy Aveo (sp?) and with all highway driving it got 26.7 mpg.
2008 Chevy Aveo
Highway driving 95% City 5%
Mileage 283.6
Gallons at Fill Up 10.590
MPG 26.7

Small car with horrid gas mileage imho. The Ford Escort I had to rent (grandma car for sure) made it from Melbourne to Clermont to West Palm Beach to Melbourne all on one tank. Not so much with this car; same trip as the previous one and I HAD to fill up in West Palm and I have to again to take it back to the rental agency.
The sad part when I Googled this car, people thought its gas mpg was great. If they knew what my Civics are getting with the bhp they have ... i bet they would change their minds.
Completely unimpressed.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

I really dont think most of you realize what gm going under would do for the US economy.. you think its bad now? I personally think they should get a bail out, they should get completely new manangment and they should get rid of the unions.. The unions are a fucking joke, I cant even grasp how they let it get so out of controll
