i think that a Diesel prformance car would be hot .. but the only prob i see is if the tuning companys would support it? . i kind of like the fack that with a tuner a diesel guy can get almost 100 hp on a pickup thats sick

 

You dont even need much aftermarket support, just slap a big fucking turbo on it and call it a day.

 

yeah no kidding, it would probably hurt aftermarket support. put a hand held tuner on there and get up to 150ish torque and maybe 100 hp.. thats on everything stock, people are going to have to build trannys before motors

 

+1 hence why "diesel" mechanics are separate from your regular mechanic....and from what i understand they charge top dollar to work on diesels.

 

well yeah, for now. there arent alot of them. Im pretty if most cars went diesel, obviously more people would become diesel mechanics which would drive down the price

 

I was about to buy the Mercedes diesel..what is it, E320? Husband and I went to the Int'l Auto Show downtown, and they had it there. The info podium thing said the price was $41,xxx. I was ready to trade in. So I go to Mercedes' website, and they were actually $50,000+. Bastards.

I e-mailed the local dealership AND mercedes, and both basically told me I was full of shit.

So, I will not own a Mercedes, even though I think the diesel model is badass.
