NO ONE SAID DROP THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we said drop those dumb ideas for the motor your putting in it. Either get a carb'd 350 and work it a little then drop it in your Camaro or spend a little more coin and get an LS-1 from the 98-02 Camaro and 97-0* corvette.

I would take a fox body mustang over a 3rd gen camaro any day and I love camaro's

You're going to grenade the 10bolt and/or the transmission before you have to worry about "frame distortion" and "frame reinforcements." Find out how fast you want to go and then make a budget.

 

ok so next i will make sure to specfiy all the upgrades nessciary. assuming the INTIRE drivetrain is upgraded would it be better to upgrade the engine?

 

yes, UPGRADE THE ENGINE. but not to anything zr1 because it is a waste. a regular old small block chevy will do fine. If not an ls1 would be awesome. Did you not read anything that anyone said or what?
