i understand your need to defend what you got, and this is an argument that will never end. also, i'm an insurance agent, so i work with ISO ratings all day long, and yes, honda holds like four spots in the top 10 stolen cars, but they also hold four spots on the top 10 cars that hold their value. people steal them because the huge demand for parts, the theives can sell the parts fast. there is not a huge demand for domestic parts or cars, and they are cheap to fix, so they have low comprehensive ratings.

Besides the fact that I had to worry about it getting stolen, fucked with by the cops, busting cv's etc. Just my .02 though.
do you have an LS1 or LT1?. i have never personally witnessed a bone stock LT1 make it into the 13's at the track, and i go to the track alot. i seen one hit 13's with DR's/intake/exhaust, but never a true bone stock one go that fast. also seen a z06 hit consistant 13.1's all night long before, at a TR track day.

also, i dont worry about mine getting stolen, i live on a farm, and the closest people are all domestic driving rednecks. never been fucked with by the cops(but that might be because of the Marine Corps tag). and got some good axles, that are made to work good.

LS1. Put a nasty beating on a 6speed chip and intake LT1 the other day.. Almost bought one, glad I didn't. However, it still would have been decently faster and more fun to drive (see RWD) than my Integra

and for every bad thing you say about other cars, something can be found bad about your superior choice of vehicles, its a never ending argument.

I would like a v6 mustang owner to get in on this thread.

BTW, this thread is not about MUSTANG HATE, just the 'domestic ricer' label stamped on them.

I think there is somethign wrong with an LT1 driver if they cant break into the 13s. Hell I was low 14s with 50 cubes and 20 horsepower less

And I dont buy the v6 fbodys being faster thant he mustang counterparts. Maybe the pre 99 mustangs but the 99+ PI motors. They made just as much power, better intake setup and were in a lighter car.

I think he is saying V6 Fbodys were faster than the V6 Mustangs of the time i.e, pre-05 V6 Mustangs... They weren't too far off non P.I 4.6 Mustangs though, however a non P.I. V8 Mustang is still a lot more fun, and less embarassing to drive than a V6 Chicken

Mars, I was talking v6 to v6..although the 3.8L v6 F-Body could give a non-PI GT a run for its money, couldn't it?

Any Accord95, who'se defending based on need? Not I. Theres a few select 4-bangers around these parts who'se nuts I'll freely hang from if the situation presents itself. Then there's a few I just shrug and say, "Eh, decent car" at, and several hundred I point and laugh at. And Hondas are stolen by punk kids because most car thieves aren't a 40 year old with a stable job and a nice car. Hondas are also widely driven and almost exclusivley modified by kids. Its just a characteristic of the demographic audience of the cars. Peopel compare Mustangs to Civics ALL THE TIME, and I'm willing to put down money that theres about the same amount of go-fast-goods for each...well..more for the Mustangs, cuz ya know, we have double everything Civics do. But anyways, theres a HUGE demand for Mustang parts of every shape and form - stock, aftermarket, good, bad, cheap, expensive. I'm sorry, but I don't hear about much Mustang theft.

BTW, if it sounds like I'm further 'defending my car', I'm not. I'm just basing it off of something I'm famillar with.

99+ also saw a different intake and head setup on the v6s as well. Thats what I was getting at. They got upped to 190 hp, the previous was 160. Fobdys where only 190-200 I think as well, also in a heavier car.

Yeah but v6 firechickens are like mid 15's. I don't think v6 ponys saw 15's until 05... Ah who cares, we're arguing about 15-16 second wannabe sports cars
