ok when i worked at walmart tire lube express there was this lady that came in with a vw bug its was new 2005 (of course she was lilly white ..lol)the car didn't have a drop of oil in it she said her husband draind the oil and told her it would be ok to drive like as long as she didn't got fast! and it was ok because it was a tdi !!! ...

oil is overrated, evidence shows that oil actually harms your car, making the inside of your engine all slippery. You can fall on slippery stuff, so manufacturers need to start thinking about our safety....jeez....

Big whoop... 115k miles, not much on that year car... My car has 148k and before I spent $1,300 on repairs it would run out of oil all the time thanks to the leak and still run fine...

Gravedigging my own thread. Just an update. Changed this girl's oil today, and the last time it was changed was when I did it. It had just over 64k on it today when I changed it. So she went from 38k-64k without changing it again. Car runs great though!
