The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fucking temperamental.

I guess the 1.9 liter sohc in my first car, a ford escort, was a great motor too because I drove it 600 miles with no oil in it and it didn't blow up. I never ever changed the air filter either.

at one point i drove my altima with no radiator fluid, no oil, old ass 5k oil at that, 1 cv axle boot ripped, the other one was 100% gone, no power steering fluid and the battery was only halfway connected. Oh and had a front flat tire and i dont think i changed the air filter since i got the car.

Drove to redline and drove it to ft myers, got back, finally got paid and fixed everything at once, it still runs great to this day, and i fixed everything a year ago.

I redline this bitch daily at least once. KA motors are rock solid.

Those 1.9s were bad little motors from what ive seen. I think ford lied about the, being interference motors too. I had a lot come in with broken timing belts and didnt hurt anything.

i have one my friend owned an 04 toyota camery. ran it for 32k with out an oil change air filter change notta. not supriseingly the motor locked up on him. so i was talking to him the next and he was liek oo its no big deal im just have the junkyard tow it away. my parents are buying my an evo. so its no big deal. so now about four months later he gets into an accident with the evo. and has that towed away to the junkyard so im like -_- dumbass. now his mom and day bought him a fully restored 67 impala which so far he hasnt messed up yet or mangled. but its getting about time to do a tune up on the car and yet again he ignores it. hes excuse is ooo i dont care about this car when it dies im just getting a new one anyway. and then it dawns on my he is a perfect example of a spoiled rich boy. -_-

your right, all of the CVH escort engines (1.9l HO, 1.9l sefi, 2.0 spi) are non-interference, i'm not sure about the zetec in the zx2 or mazda bp in the escort gt but i'd put money on the zetec being non-interference

seriously, only 1k over and it only has one quart left, and your trying to brag about toyota?

i had the oil pump lock up on one of my old mustangs while racing, pulled over only cause it wasnt reading pressure, didnt hear anything so i thought it was the sending unit and kept driving another 20 miles and then it started to tap so i pulled over and towed it to my work put a new oil pump in and it was good as new.....
